The candidate will join the Finance team and will be responsible for the main activities related to the monthly closures of the 4 companies of Auto1 Group and will also be the main point of reference of the department for the new special projects requested by HQ.
Your Profile:
* Post-secondary education in Finance/Accounting (e.g., MSc in Finance, CCA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, ideally within an international organization or previous experience in audit (Big Four) for at least 3-4 years.
* Strong knowledge of reporting tools, including Excel (Google Sheets is a plus). Experience with accounting software (Oracle or similar) and proficiency in year-end closing, VAT, and tax reporting.
* Detail-oriented, methodical, and analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently and taking on large-scale responsibilities.
* Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all accounting activities for our Italian operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting according to both local and group standards.
* Review, analyze, and ensure the reliability of financial information, making necessary corrections and adjustments.
* Lead and coordinate monthly and annual financial closings.
* Manage and validate intercompany transactions, ensuring reconciliation between entities.
* Prepare and submit external and internal reports to group HQ.
* Drive process improvements by strengthening and documenting existing financial procedures, automating repetitive tasks to focus on high-value activities.
* Lead and participate in various strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and continuous improvements in financial efficiency.
* Support internal audits and annual tax filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Serve as one of the key points of contact for auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
