All about the role:
For our Major Appliances Business Area Europe, we are looking for a “New Product Introduction” Quality Engineer in Fabric Care, to lead quality activities in the Product Development of fabric care products, with the aim to deliver best in class consumer experiences.
What you’ll do:
In this role you will deliver a step forward improvement of quality, with a focus on New Products development and major Cost out projects. You will ensure the introduction of new products keeping the quality leadership. You will guarantee the common rules, methodologies and standardization across functions and plants.
In detail, you will:
1. Translate project requirements and attribute targets in a structured validation plan, meeting the overall project timeline and the checkpoint dates, ensuring the required deliverables and supporting every evaluation and decision with evidence from tests.
2. Translate the knowledge gaps identified in project planning and development in a consistent portfolio of validation activities (test to learn, test to fail, risk assessment).
3. Activate and proactively attend to DFMEAs for all the main projects, covering and evaluating all the area of risk, challenging the status quo.
4. Develop and promote a test portfolio to assess the usability of new products in real consumer use conditions, to ensure a delighting consumer experience.
5. Proactively attend to PFMEA sessions to ensure the perfect execution of the projects in the manufacturing environment, to support the definition of the related PCP.
6. Be proficient in the knowledge of the automations and in the process controls developments planned to execute the new products, providing proper recommendation in case of gaps or improvement opportunities identified.
7. Promote the SPC and the lean tools and concepts to secure the process control, preferable with 100% detectability and to eliminate any waste.
8. Identify root causes for any performance/attribute deviation from the project requirements and partner with all the relevant functions to define the proper corrective and preventive actions.
9. Be proficient in product knowledge in order to create and develop a portfolio of test to learn and test to fail, in order to evaluate the risk/opportunities related to new technical solutions and the overall robustness of the products, comparing with the current product baseline.
10. Develop a structured set of documents, with clear communication of the evaluation done based on the evidence found, to become a fundamental part of the project deliverables.
11. Promote and coordinate the involvement of the Plant Quality Team on the different project deliverables.
Who you are:
1. University degree in Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality.
3. You are able to understand and embrace an enlarged approach: consumer satisfaction, continuous improvement and efficiency, people empowerment, process management.
4. Knowledge and practical experience with key quality tools and methodologies.
5. Good communication and presentation skills.
6. Proficient in project management methodologies.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based in one of our Care Plant in Europe: Porcia (PN) Italy, Olawa or Siewierz Poland.
