Job Description Summary Role Summary/Purpose Within the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Repair Engineer – L5 Component Repair will be responsible for one or more repair commodities for AAJV Global Shops Network. In Short Term, Repair Engineer Shall develop technical knowledge in AAJV products and services through technical training and Repair Engineers / Repair Engineer Manager mentorship learn on the job, supporting other Repair Engineers in their ongoing activities In Medium/Long Term, Repair Engineer Shall master technical knowledge of one or more repair commodities / special processes collaboratively work with other AAJV Engineering functions implementing new repairs as per AAJV Global Shop Network L5 insource plan be responsible for execution of existing and new repairs processes within his/her repair commodities when qualified within the AAJV Global Shop Network The Repair Engineer will solid line report to the Repair Engineering Manager. Job Description Essential Responsibilities For all his/her repair commodities, Repair Engineer will be responsible for: Introduction of new repair commodities / special processes in AAJV Global Shops Network Development of work instruction, standard repair routers, inspection forms for new and already existing L5 repairs, including documents update and QMS maintenance Support PMO defining lists of fixtures and tooling needed, issue special tools purchasing specs if needed and manage all procurement steps (POR/offer tech alignment/order execution) Support roll-out and industrialization of new L5 repair technologies and related equipment at AAJV Global Shops, coordinating with Process Engineers, PMO and Shop Operations As part of AAJV Service Shop Technical team, he/she will be the technical owner of the component repair in production, including technical evaluation of inspection results, definition of the repair scope of work, job routers tailoring, Departure Record emission and related job routers modifications Working with Shop Operations and Process Engineers to define repair processes CTQs, CTQs business intelligence and operating rhythm for CTQs analysis and recovery plan if needed Identify data-driven opportunities for repair productivity / cost reduction and propose alternative processes development to AAJV Repair Product Leadership Support shop NCR process Qualifications/Requirements Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience Willing to bubble assignment in Avenza/Firenze (for training on the job purpose) Willing to relocate close to Mesagne Site (if not already living there) Previous knowledge/experience of Aero-derivative gas turbine products, especially on LM2500 and LM6000, would be a plus Strong attitude to work with local and remote teams, interact with people from different locations and cultures Ability to work in a very dynamic and mutating environment Fluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking About Us Aero Alliance is a Joint Venture that serves three segments of customers – its two parent companies, Baker Hughes and GE Power, as well as the Authorized Service Providers (ASP) network.
