The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang for the Longhi Bar and Riva Lounge Bar. Reporting to the Bar Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.
It is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week).
Period: April – October 2025

No matter the day, you set out to provide each guest with a dining experience that will be remembered long after their stay.
What you’ll be doing
1. Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
2. Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed
3. Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
4. Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
5. Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
6. Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
7. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
8. Follow cycle time guidelines for all meals.
9. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
10. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
11. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and brand identity guidelines at all time
What we’re looking for
1. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy. Valid work permit for full time role (40 hours/week).
2. Fluent in English and Italian
3. Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
4. Positive outlook and outgoing personality
5. Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
6. Understanding of luxury hospitality F&B operations
7. Experience in the same role in fine dining restaurants would be an advantage
8. Ideally, knowledge of Micros
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are
