As a Principal Engineer IC Design Architect, you will develop circuit concepts and design analog/mixed signal circuit IP according to the hardware requirements. You will collaborate with Layout Experts, Verification Engineers and Test Development and foster fruitful relationships with Technical Marketing and Application Engineering teams.
In your new role you will:
* Develop "right-fit" circuit concepts for Industrial and Automotive application based on system and customer requirements, with a sharp focus on time to market
* Validate concepts through sophisticated behavioral modeling, enabling comprehensive use-case analysis and robust product verification
* Design analog/mixed signal circuit IP according to the concepts and hardware requirements fulfilling design for test and design for manufacturing needs as well
* Collaborate with Layout Experts, Verification Engineers and Test Development, getting the designs ready for mass production
* Debug designed circuit IP in the laboratory, challenging your excellent problem-solving skills
* Foster fruitful relationships with Technical Marketing and Application Engineering, ensuring exceptional support and engagement
* Ignite innovation by generating groundbreaking circuit ideas and actively participating in exciting innovation projects
* Perform cutting-edge feasibility studies for new IP’s propelling us ahead of the competition
* Drive continuous improvement through close cross-functional collaboration, unleashing our collective potential
* Cultivate and share your expertise within the Infineon expert network, mentoring and coaching colleagues and students alike.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
* A university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of studies
* At least 5 or more years of relevant work experience, with a remarkable focus on analog and mixed signal chip design
* Proficiency in design and behavioral modeling tools such as Spectre, Avenue or SystemC
* Automotive and Functional Safety background is a strong plus
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive independently, ensuring no obstacle stands in your way
* Strong English skills are a must, while Italian proficiency or a willingness to learn would be a remarkable asset.
