All about the role:
As a Platform Lead, you will oversee the technological vision for Electrolux's webstore channels, which includes evaluating and refining current systems, leading optimization efforts, and promoting cutting-edge web technologies within the company.
As a key figure in managing Electrolux webstore technology infrastructure, you will ensure scalability, security, and peak performance. The role will craft and communicate a strategic technical vision that supports the company’s digital products, keeping pace with new technologies and market developments.
Collaboration with the product management team is essential to define the technological infrastructure that supports our product development trajectory, breaking down business objectives into actionable components, and overseeing the technological aspects of these initiatives.
What you'll do:
You will foster the development of Electrolux brand's web solutions by offering a comprehensive view of the technology landscape, collaborating with product teams (especially the product owners and technical leads), and providing technical guidance to enhance systems and capabilities, in the following areas:
1. Platform architecture:
Lead the architecture design of the Electrolux branded webstore’s platform/technology infrastructure.
Define the technical architecture and design of the Electrolux branded webstore’s platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of Akamai and Azure cloud services.
2. Engineering leadership:
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Engineering team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
3. Platform technology strategy:
Develop and communicate a technical vision and strategy for the branded webstore’s platform, aligning it with the product goals.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to make informed decisions regarding branded webstore’s platform development.
Work closely with engineering managers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (even outside Digital Commerce) to ensure that the branded webstore’s platform meets the needs of various product teams.
Leverage and foster API first approach in the execution.
4. Collaboration with stakeholders:
Together with Electrolux Cloud Office team, actively participating in the system roadmap definition providing technical depth.
5. Security and compliance:
Design web security strategy to protect the Electrolux branded webstore’s platform and user data.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
6. Documentation and training:
Ensure comprehensive documentation of the Electrolux branded webstore’s platform architecture, codebase, and processes.
Act as EPiServer/Optimizely and Akamai technical and functional subject matter expert within the Electrolux Digital Commerce community.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance the Electrolux branded webstore’s platform.
Who you are:
You are an experienced, dynamic, and motivated Platform Lead with a robust background in web development and architecture, particularly in web front-end technologies, content management, and security. This role at Electrolux involves spearheading the expansion of its web commerce presence and steering its technology direction in line with emerging web trends.
Ideally, you possess a proven track record in overseeing system architecture practices, with a comprehensive grasp of technical environments comprising CMS, web front-end technologies, microservice-based architectures, and CDNs.
A history of working with scaled agile teams will be considered an advantageous addition. The ability to articulate complex concepts effectively to a diverse audience spanning IT, business units, vendors, and high-level stakeholders, is paramount.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 5+ years of Microsoft.Net development experience.
2. Expertise in Optimizely CMS, with certification being advantageous.
3. Proficiency in high-traffic web system performance and web security, including familiarity with Akamai technologies (CDN, etc.).
4. Prior experience in technology leadership roles such as Technical Lead or Architect within the domain of web and content management.
5. Solid experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
6. Demonstrable experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a preference for those who have led technical teams.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience in JIRA & Confluence.
8. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct ongoing system reviews.
Where you'll be:
You will be based at Electrolux office in Stockholm, Sweden or Pordenone, Italy.
