Qualifications:
* Proactive individuals with project experience ideally in DTC market, OR in Advanced Tech, Oil and Gas or BLS markets.
* Technical experience appropriate with the position: vendor, GC or engineering background.
* Ability to adapt to multiple construction environments & construction teams – multicultural experience.
* Demonstrated experience and ability to own a package (scale dependent on role). Accountability is key.
* Must come from a strong construction background with the ability to integrate and align with construction teams with a “right first time” approach during the construction period.
* A commitment to Health and Safety principles is critical and will be asked to be demonstrated equally as technical competence.
* Ability to drive company and project initiatives and processes.
* Ability to operate within an office AND a site with a ‘boots on the ground’ approach.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all project safety requirements are met and adhered to.
* Define the Mechanical objectives (in terms of safety, scope, schedule, site management, quality, sub-contractor change control, logistics & site coordination) within the project scope & communicate those aims to the relevant sub-contract teams & within the Client.
* Be the main point of contact for Mechanical subcontractor site management & be involved with the Mechanical subcontractor selection & procurement process.
* Be involved with the project decision-making process, to be client-facing when required & to create a good working relationship with the Client’s onsite personnel & the Client’s Representatives.
* Help and support other team members and fully engage in coordination exercises.
* Work closely with the design team and offer advice and practical solutions on buildability and suitability of existing design solutions.
* Conclude a project to the Client’s satisfaction including snagging, commissioning, validation & room readiness.
* Be familiar with and fulfil all the requirements of the Company procedures.
* Take responsibility for setting up the site cabins & welfare requirements, ensuring water/power/IT/waste services are connected and the site area is kept clean and tidy.
* Contribute to the generation of knowledge of the agreed scope of work document for each CSA package.
* Contribute to the generation of knowledge of all the Project Construction Project Execution Plans (CPEPs) with particular emphasis on the Construction Management CPEP, Logistics CPEP, Project Programming CPEP and Quality CPEP.
* Ensure all Requests for Information & Technical submittals issued by the Sub-contracting team on the Mechanical packages are followed up on and answered in a timely manner to ensure progress is not impacted.
* Understand and contribute fully to the implementation of Last Planner methodology onsite.
* Keep accurate records and ensure the team also provides detailed accounts of site activities, including maintenance of a detailed daily diary that records the execution works of all areas under progress.
* Have a general working knowledge of both the Form of Head Contract & Sub-Contract being operated for the project & Mechanical Packages respectively.
* Be aware of all the project risks, associated impacts & the necessary mitigations to those risks the Client must manage.
* BSc in Construction Management/Engineering (civil/struct/mech) – Preferred but not essential.
* Minimum of 10 years of general construction experience – CM role held previously must include management of minimum €10m of scope on a single project.
* Use all recording tools and data to keep an accurate position of the project programme.
* Ensure all information required for Client and other meetings is available for review in advance of meetings.
