Classes are held on-campus in Villanova, PA and focus on the role of the recovery specialist and the skills needed to support those in recovery. The College of Professional Studies will accept applications throughout the year. If a teaching vacancy arises, we will consider the submitted applications. Duties and Responsibilities: Teach Recovery Specialist course using the approved curriculum from the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Prepare and submit accurate attendance rosters, student grades, and/or other assigned documents when due. Hold classes on time and for the full duration of the published class time. Conduct in a professional manner all class hours as assigned by the course schedule and academic calendar. Support and adhere to all CPS policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to assess student learning through testing, presentations, and in-class simulations. Ability to teach adult students using methods that promote engaged learning. PCB Approved Instructor for Recovery Specialist Curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience preferred.
