What you’ll do:
In this position, you will be involved in a variety of different projects and your main responsibility will be the technical development and validation of thermodynamics systems.
You will be interacting globally with different R&D departments as well as external companies, consultants and universities.
In detail, you will:
* Lead activities and deliver results to meet established technical targets and deadlines.
* Research and develop innovative technologies for laundry household appliances to deliver consumer benefits (e.g. efficient use of resources like water and energy, time reduction).
* This role can cover different technical activities from using modelling and simulations, theoretical to experimental analysis, prototype creation, performance testing in our laboratory and concept verification at a consumer level.
* Assess the best approach and practices for each activity and project, whether it be a virtual or physical approach.
* Analyse experimental data using statistical analysis methodologies.
* Interact with experts in different scientific fields that work in different areas e.g. advanced controls, electronics, chemistry, materials.
Who you are:
* University degree in mechanical engineering able to use knowledge and practical understanding of thermodynamics to design, develop, and improve the performance of systems.
* At least 2-3 years of qualified engineering experience with knowledge of mechanics and thermodynamics applications, such air-conditioning and heat pump systems.
* Skilled engineer to analyze data, design experiments, and develop simple mathematical models to predict the behavior of thermodynamics systems.
* Skilled in using tools like Excel, MATLAB, Simulink, Minitab and 3D CAD.
* Passionate about innovation but willing to ensure that their designs are practical and can be implemented in the real world.
* Ability to work independently.
