What is your role?
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of raw materials and accessories necessary to meet production schedules. The role involves verifying component requirements linked to production orders, adjusting or confirming MRP (Material Requirement Planning) proposals for quantities that suppliers need to deliver on bi-weekly o daily basis. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist sends schedules to suppliers and ensures timely deliveries, ordering the minimum necessary quantities to cover needs and potential safety stocks, in line with the assigned inventory targets.
Essential Responsibilities
Your day in the life in ITT as a Procurement Specialist
* Determine whether stock levels are allined for production needs and order additional materials when required.
* Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers.
* Track the status of demands, contracts, and purchase orders.
* Respond to supplier and customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations.
* Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages, missed deliveries, or delays.
* Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files and reports.
* Monitor internal inventory movements.
* Evaluate supplier performance, recommending contract modifications when necessary.
* Collaborate with transportation analyst and warehouse for management, monitoring and optimization of logistics flows
What will make you our perfect match?
* A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in multinational companies with high-volume production processes. experience in the automotive sector is a plus.
* Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
* Advanced knowledge of SAP (Material Requirement Planning) and Excel, as user
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
* Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
