Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer company (IPP), is seeking a Permitting Project Manager for Wind Renewable Energy Projects to join their growing team in Italy. With a successful track record in countries like Spain, France, UK, Poland, and the US, they manage end-to-end projects to generate power from solar, wind, and other renewable sources. As part of their expansion, they are looking for dedicated professionals to support their operations in Italy, particularly in the Basilicata region.
Mission
Be responsible for the full-cycle Permitting process of Wind Projects across South of Italy. Aligning with regulatory frameworks and relationships with local authorities, administrations, and landowners, to ensure the successful execution of the projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage wind projects starting from land acquisition.
2. Supervise developers and contractors responsible for the authorization processes.
3. Prepare and manage the necessary documentation for project development, coordinating with regional, national, and local authorities.
4. Maintain regular interaction with local administrations, staying informed about laws and regulations affecting project permitting.
5. Track project progress during the authorization process and liaise with competent authorities.
6. Collaborate with the local and global permitting teams, providing regular updates and reports.
Requirements:
1. 2 to 5 years of experience in permitting and project development, preferably in the Renewable Energy Sector with a focus on wind projects. Experience in solar permitting will be considered.
2. Knowledge of sector regulations: Wind regulation, permitting process and urbanistic/landscape planning.
3. Bilingual level of Italian and professional level of English or Spanish.
4. Collaboration with the teams in Spain.
5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, dynamic, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
6. Availability to travel.
7. Driving license.
