We are now looking for a (Senior) Technical Expert to join our W38-W64 Global Technical Services Product Team.
The preferred locations for the position are either Trieste, Italy or Turku, Finland.
Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will be part of a global, innovative, and customer-driven organisation working with cutting-edge technologies. In this position, you will pursue continuous improvement with the combination of your existing expertise and passion for developing yourself and the ways of working.
As (Senior) Technical Expert, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
* Providing high-level engine expert support for internal and external customers.
* Making product improvements and product documentation.
* Performing field testing of new products in the field.
* Making feedback analyses and product reports.
* Conducting site surveys and troubleshooting in the field.
* Following up and solving problems together with other Technical departments.
* Being an innovative expert in Wärtsilä's expert organisation.
You will shine in this role when you have:
* BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Strong motivation and genuine interest in working with 4-stroke engines.
* Good communication skills, customer orientation, and self-management.
* Proficient in analysis and reporting.
* Proactive, systematic, and organized approach to work.
* Flexible attitude, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new technologies.
* Proficient in both spoken and written English.
* Willingness to travel approximately 15-20% of the time.
* Preferably, prior experience with 4-stroke engines, auxiliary equipment, troubleshooting, or performance analysis in the field.
