Position MissionEvents are a crucial part of MERMEC's identity. We're looking for a skilled event manager to plan dynamic and engaging events to drive new business and strengthen our organization's unique culture. The ideal candidate is meticulous and organized. They will be able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure and ensure that any last-minute changes or obstacles are handled with minimal disruption.ResponsibilitiesCollaboration and Strategy:• Work closely with Sales, BUs, to define "Annual Events Master Plan".• Research and present concepts, ideas; define type of participationBudget & Contract Management:• Prepare, present, and manage budgets for the trade shows / events• Manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.Logistics and Planning:• Research, Identify and Secure the venue for the event.• Liaise with vendors to determine their booth requirements.Participant Coordination:• Manage the booking and registration process for vendors, sponsors, and guests.• Arrange travel and accommodation logistics for participants.Promotion and Marketing:• Promote the events through various channels, including social media, emailers, and advertising campaigns by interacting with DCoE• Coordinate logistical requirements such as equipment rentals, and catering services.On-Site Operations:• Run the trade show floor during the event to ensure smooth operations.• Track data to monitor chosen metrics, calculate event ROI, evaluate actual cost vs budget estimationTechnical Skills, Qualifications and Professional ExperienceSkills and qualificationsStrong organizational and management skillsSelf-starter's attitudeComfort working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to plan and execute projects with many moving partsLeadership and communication skillsExperience creating and adhering to a budgetFluency in English is mandatoryPreferred qualificationsFamiliarity with event management softwareCreativity in crafting internal and external eventsDemonstrated understanding of attendees' needsWillingness to delegate tasks and organize a teamAbility to communicate and negotiate with external vendors and service providersFamiliarity with event trends and developmentsSosteniamo la parità di genere e promuoviamo un ambiente equo ed inclusivo.
