About the Role
As a Medical and Scientific Liaison (MSL) in our Medical Affairs team, you will be a key member of the Medical Department, performing a field-based role with a medical/scientific background. You will engage in high-level scientific and medical exchanges with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and act as a conduit of information between customers and Shionogi.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Establish and develop relationships with HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the therapeutic field.
2. Support scientific and medical relationships with the Shionogi organization at both country and European levels.
3. Assist the country Medical Director with medical activities.
4. Serve as a therapy area expert and a product expert, enabling you to be a resource for the medical/scientific community.
5. Collaborate with Market Access and contribute to profiling our medicines for patients, physicians, and payers.
6. Work cross-functionally across the Shionogi country organization to support business goals and objectives.
7. Provide appropriate support to other functions as required.
8. Train internal team members in relevant therapy areas and product training.
9. Stay abreast of advances in the relevant disease areas and support the Medical Department in dealing with complex medical/scientific queries.
Requirements
* Experience as an MSL.
* Experience in antibiotics, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, or liver diseases.
* Experience working cross-functionally with sales teams.
* Experience as an MSL in specialty care areas (hospital drugs).
* Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, biology, or medicine.
* Fluency in English and computer literacy.
