Job Description
The primary objective of this role is to serve as an interface between production, sales, purchasing, and suppliers to schedule purchase orders for raw materials in accordance with production demand.
Supplier SCM:
Act as a liaison between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects. Monitor and create purchase requisitions daily through the SAP/MRP system for suitable vendors. Lead production scheduling, collaborating with manufacturing and business partners, and raw material purchasing. Ensure adherence to company policies, code of ethics, values, and relevant laws and regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring open purchase orders. Apply relevant purchasing statutory requirements in countries of receipt, shipment, and destination. Perform supplier development, release, and support in supplier auditing, including evaluation of supplier measures. Provide analysis on costs and review cost reduction activities. Interface with production planners, purchasing, and suppliers to meet production demand.
Supplier Management:
Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring good communication. Implement a professional and consistent approach to all supplier interactions. Compile data on supplier performance for evaluation purposes. Assess and evaluate suppliers, contributing to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance. Manage issues related to price, quality, delivery, or invoices.
Integration:

Relevant degree in business, commerce, or manufacturing preferred. 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience working closely with suppliers, negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown. Proficient in at least 2 languages, with Italian and English being mandatory.
Experience working with international teams and understanding foreign cultures.
