GENERAL SUMMARY
The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for selecting and maintaining vehicles to keep donation pickup routes on schedule and within established budgets, while delivering the level of service donors are expecting. Our Fleet Supervisor will also be responsible for recruiting and managing fleet personnel and will meet regularly with fleet and maintenance team members to discuss strategies to meet or exceed corporate revenue goals. To succeed, the Fleet Supervisor needs significant experience in operations, logistics and software programs to monitor fleet, as well as the ability to hold team members accountable. This position requires excellent leadership and decision making skills and ability to maintain a positive demeanor during stressful high-volume situations. The Fleet Manager must be a performance driven individual who will work closely with the Donor Relations Manager to create an environment of appreciation and professionalism to all donors.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
1. Supervise fleet team members to achieve and maintain the highest levels of donor satisfaction.
2. Supervise, coordinate and provide leadership to assigned staff, reviewing team members’ work, holding them accountable and training regularly.
3. Estimate staffing needs, and recommend candidates for employment, as needed. Will complete new hire process and is responsible for the application of company policies and procedures.
4. Conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews annually, and make recommendation for termination, when necessary.
5. Maintain positive team, building relationships with staff; understand driver specific needs and incorporate into weekly schedule when appropriate.
6. Develop efficient driver schedules to maximize profits. Manage drivers so they adhere to strict schedules, keeping overtime below 10 hours per week per fleet co-worker.
7. Participate in safety trainings and follow all recommendations of the safety committee associated with the responsibilities of the job.
8. Recommend and implement appropriate action plans for process improvement as needed.
9. Maintain fueling depot program and strategies for maximum fuel efficiency; ensure audit and reporting are accurate and timely.
10. Continually monitor overall compliance with local, state, and federal requirements relating to the operation, preventive maintenance and special conditions of fleet vehicles; maintain detailed records of servicing and inspection.
11. Make recommendations regarding company vehicles, how many are needed, and financial plan for purchases/leasing.
12. Provide a weekly accomplishment summary report to the Logistics Manager.

Requirements
Education: Associates Degree in business or public administration or related field or 5 years of experience operating vehicles and equipment in a commercial, industrial, or municipal environment and supervisory responsibilities or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years trucking experience, moving and customer service experience essential.
Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours. Responsible for traveling to all the stores.
Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry more than 50lbs up and down stairs for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions: Warehouse, trucks, donor pickup sites including businesses and private homes.
