Job Summary
The Construction Engineer reports to the Head of Department Green Power and Assets Business Unit. Key responsibilities include preparation of Work Requisitions, scouting potential construction Subcontractors, and schedule optimization.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare Work Requisition (WR) for construction works and site offices.
* Evaluate offers received from subcontractors.
* Develop construction schedules for proposal and execution phases.
* Identify potential subcontractors in the country through market exploration.
* Conduct constructability analysis and follow up on relevant matters.
* Optimize construction sequences to reduce schedule and costs.
* Find alternative solutions for cable laying or electrical lines when faced with underground or above-ground hindrances.
* Support site teams as needed.
* Participate in weekly construction meetings with clients and/or subcontractors.
* Collaborate with the Field Engineering Manager to define alternative solutions for site criticalities.
* Assist the Project Control Manager in preparing progress data.
* Support the Subcontract Manager in defining new prices or evaluating work to be paid to subcontractors.
* Prepare change orders and claims with the Contract Manager.
* Compile the Site Mechanical Book.
* Ensure a smooth handover to the Operation and Maintenance department.
Requirements
* Relevant experience in Green Power Plants (solar/wind, H2, NH3 green projects) and Construction Head Office activities.
* Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Construction Specialist in EPC Projects.
* Availability for missions at the site for up to one month if necessary.
