Valmet, a global leader in automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and professional Site Project Manager to join our Automation Business Line team within the marine sector. This role offers an opportunity to manage cutting-edge automation projects and ensure the successful deployment of Valmet’s Distributed Control Systems (Valmet DNA) in collaboration with our global customers. Type of contract : Permanent Location : Monfalcone, Italy Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning activities for the Valmet DNA system, ensuring seamless integration during ship construction and commissioning phases. Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, serving as the primary point of contact between Valmet and the client, particularly with the shipyard’s electrical workshop. Oversee testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution on-site while maintaining detailed and accurate reporting to internal and remote teams. Facilitate collaboration between Valmet teams and clients, ensuring efficient project execution and milestone achievement. Support system testing both at the shipyard and during sea trials. Travel Scope This position requires travel (50-75% of working time) to Valmet locations, customer shipyards (Marghera), and other project sites across Italy and internationally (including Poland, Finland, France, and Germany). To Succeed In This Position, You Will Need A degree in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a technical diploma with equivalent experience. Knowledge of Valmet systems will be considered a plus. 4-7 years of experience in similar roles, preferably with on-site project management. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical personnel on-site. Proficiency in Italian and English at a professional level (mandatory).
