Job Title: NAV-COM Service Engineer
We're seeking a highly skilled NAV-COM Service Engineer to join our Field Service Department. The preferred location for this position is Monfalcone, Italy.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform field service activities according to the work plan.
* Conduct basic troubleshooting on equipment families, including running tests, fine-tuning, and adjustments.
* Independently perform major and complex repairs, as well as complete overhauls.
* Carry out installation and pre-commissioning checks and activities.
* Lead commissioning activities and hand over equipment to customers or shipyards.
* Manage assigned teams and related activities during work execution.
* Interact with customers during work execution.
* Provide internal and external progress updates on assigned work.
* Create service reports.
* Ensure work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
* Advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.
Requirements
* Understanding of automation systems.
* Minimum 2 years of experience working on cruise and merchant vessels.
* Experience with the Platinum system.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
* Willingsness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
