The HPT is responsible to transform the existing terminal towards the future, the HPT delivers on critical projects revolving around (1) way-of-working and project delivery, (2) digital transformation (TOS, gate, etc.), (3) way of working, (4) operational & organizational improvement.
The HPT is the right hand of the CEO to ensure complex and cross-functional goals are met, the HPT identifies the transformation roadmap with the Project Director Expansion and the HIG COO. The CEO and the HPT will agree on the roll-out of the transformation roadmap in line with business goals, resources and timeline.
The HPT leads a small Terminal Development team supplemented with ad hoc resources, the HPT primarily leads through others guiding and supporting senior management and project managers to deliver successfully. The HPT provides oversight of all transformation and development projects within the entity.
What you can expect
1. Ensure the Transformation Roadmap is delivered
2. Translated the high-level business goals into actionable tasks/projects
3. Lead your team, guide the senior management team, support the CEO
4. Establish companywide project management, including quality gates
5. Regularly follow-up and report-out status of critical projects
6. Provide oversight project management and content wise
7. Manage resources (time, people, budgets)
8. Liaise internally (senior management, Expansion team) and externally (public stakeholders)
9. Adjust projects to changing business environment
10. Comply with all the safety and security rules and regulations lead by example
11. Support the department and business unit where required
12. Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines
13. Actively identify improvement opportunities
What you bring to the table
We’re looking for a leader with a broad skill set that can inspire people to engage and deliver, while willing to dive into the content and ensure deliverables are met. This complex role streamlines the vision of the Business Unit, Expansion and HQ requirements into a single actionable and achievable Transformation Roadmap.
14. Good English (Italian & German are plusses)
15. Experience (10+ years) leading various fields (e.g. operations, technical, IT, etc.)
16. Experience (5+ years) in combined infrastructure, technology, people industry
17. Experience leading projects (> €1M, > 1year, multiple internal/external shareholders)
18. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
19. Comfortable in the board room and in the server room
20. Process & logic driven mentality, clear safety leadership
21. Port/terminal experience is a plus
22. Relevant University degree, relevant project certification (e.g. LEAN, PMP, etc.)
The ideal candidate has a valid EU working permit and is willing to relocate to Trieste on short notice.
