This position needs relocation to Grand Cayman. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Auditor for a luxury boutique hotel. As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel's operations during the overnight shift, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and ensuring smooth and efficient hotel operations. This position is critical to the daily success of the hotel and will require a proactive, service-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Guest Service & Hospitality: Provide exceptional guest service to ensure the satisfaction of our overnight guests. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring a personalized experience. Assist with check-ins and check-outs during the overnight hours. Monitor the hotel’s security system and ensure the safety and security of guests and staff. Night Auditing & Financial Duties: Perform all night audit functions, including balancing and verifying daily hotel financial transactions and reports. Reconcile the hotel’s daily revenue, ensuring that all charges are correct and properly accounted for. Process nightly financial reports and ensure accuracy in billing and revenue distribution. Ensure proper coding and reconciliation of hotel charges and credits. Operational Duties: Ensure all reports, guest folios, and room status updates are complete and accurate. Maintain accurate records of any guest issues, incidents, or requests and follow through to resolution. Communicate and work closely with the day shift team to ensure smooth transition and update on key operational matters. Administrative Tasks: Complete end-of-day financial processes and submit required documentation to the accounting team. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk area. Support the management team by providing feedback on guest preferences, issues, and operational insights. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment, preferably in a similar role (Night Auditor, Front Desk Agent, or similar). Experience in handling cash, credit transactions, and performing audits is highly preferred. Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Protel, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures is a plus. Other Requirements: Ability to work the overnight shift (typically 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM). A professional and polished appearance in line with the hotel’s luxury standards. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and resolution. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
