We are looking for a Cruise Vessel Superintendent – Technical Sales Position to strengthen our commercial presence and deliver expert guidance to cruise operators worldwide.
Position Overview
The Cruise Vessel Superintendent – Technical Sales Position will lead business development efforts and act as a technical advisor for cruise ship retrofit and refurbishment projects. This role deals with cruise operators, fleet managers, and technical directors looking to enhance vessel efficiency, guest experience, and compliance with the latest industry standards.
The ideal candidate has previously worked as a Technical Superintendent or Fleet Manager for Cruise Vessels, with strong drydock and project coordination experience, particularly in cruise vessel operations. We are seeking a professional who understands the unique requirements of cruise operations—from engine room to hotel systems—and can confidently transition into a client-facing sales and advisory role.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
* Identify and engage key decision-makers within cruise companies and cruise ship management firms.
* Develop and execute a sales strategy focused on cruise vessel retrofits, refurbishments, and technical upgrades.
* Represent GLO Marine at cruise and maritime.
* Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
* Act as Account Manager, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and project success.
Technical & Commercial Advisory
* Provide insights on interior upgrades, hotel system enhancements, and sustainable retrofit solutions.
* Assist clients in evaluating technical feasibility and ROI for cruise vessel projects.
* Ensure proposals align with international maritime regulations and cruise industry expectations.
* Guide clients on energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and compliance with evolving passenger safety standards.
Cruise Retrofit & Drydock Support
* Leverage drydock and refit experience to help clients plan and execute complex cruise vessel upgrades.
* Coordinate technical and hotel system works during drydock, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and guest amenities.
* Support project logistics to ensure timely delivery and operational continuity post-drydock.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Background & Experience
* 5–10 years of experience in cruise vessel operations, technical management, or refit supervision.
* Previous role as Technical Superintendent, Fleet Superintendent, or Vessel Manager in the cruise sector.
* Proven experience with drydock planning, interior refits, and hotel system upgrades.
* Familiarity with cruise ship maintenance, guest experience standards, and class requirements.
* Strong network in cruise operators, contractors, and maritime service providers.
Skills & Attributes
* Solid understanding of both technical and hotel systems onboard cruise vessels.
* Ability to translate operational needs into commercially viable solutions.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage cruise industry stakeholders.
