The Accounting Specialist will take on various administrative tasks. In addition, the Accounting Specialist will include keeping financial records, customer invoicing, bank bookings, and all months-end related activities.The Accounting Specialist will be a detail-oriented collaborator across the project team gathering and sharing information.
What you can expect
1. Responsible for maintenance of ordinary bookkeeping (recording invoices payable and professional fees, issuing invoices receivable, employee costs, banks movements, accruals and deferrals, asset and depreciation book, year-end adjusting entries for closing balance sheet)
2. Manage electronic invoices
3. Monthly reconciliation of bank balances (from bank statements)
4. Periodic reconciliation of customers and suppliers accounting records
5. Current tax fulfillments (F24, LIPE, Intrastat, Excise, tax amends, virtual stamp duty, other fiscal declarations as 770, IRAP…) with support from external tax consultant
6. Manage tax compliance vat deposit
7. Deed management from tax agency with support from external tax consultant
8. Surety policy management (in port/state free zone is a plus)
9. Ensure all documents are properly approved and distributed
10. Communicate with vendors, customers and banks for accounting purpose
11. Prepare periodic reports in cooperation with Finance Controller /
12. reclassification of balance sheet and income statement according to IFRS
13. Fulfillment of accounting official books
14. Production of all documents requested by internal/external auditors
15. Comply with all the safety and security rules and regulations, lead by example
16. Support the department and business unit where required
17. Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines
18. Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report
What you bring to the table
19. Good Italian and English (German is a plus)
20. Experience (5+ year(s)) in accounting and finance department (Experience in Port areas, demanio/punto franco is a plus)
21. Good understanding of MS Office
22. Good understanding of SAP/accounting systems & procedures
23. Attention to detail, dedicating to get it perfect
24. Problem solving oriented.
25. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
26. Ability to prepare contribution requests to public agencies, knowledge of Industry 4.0, leasing and long-term rental contracts
27. Degree in Finance, Economy, or related
28. Experience with Italian accounting standard and IFRS accounting standard
The ideal candidate would have a valid EU work permit and would be willing to relocate to Trieste in short notice.
