**Mission-Driven Project Cost Controller Role**
We're seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to support our mission of delivering clean energy solutions. This role plays a vital part in recognizing and valuing the diversity of our global workforce.
Job Function:
This position has experience in project cost controls for low & medium level complexity projects, with the ability to lead costs controls processes for low-level complexity projects or subsets of moderate-level complexity project scope. The successful candidate will be assigned to multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning Process:
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining baseline project cash flow/Estimate-at-Complete (EAC) forecasts
* Preparing budget and/or EAC reports associated with project scope throughout the project lifecycle
* Creating a Risk & Opportunities assessment matrix based on team inputs
* Collaborating with the schedule team on earned value management system
Project Executing, Monitoring, and Controlling Processes:
Responsibilities include:
* Processing, monitoring, and tracking changes through an integrated change control process
* Preparing project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Estimate at Completion updates and Earned Value Management with the scheduler)
* Reviewing project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope
* Maintaining effective communication and teamwork, including disseminating project metrics to stakeholders
* Updating Risks & Opportunities assessment matrices and adjusting necessary contingencies
* Developing or overseeing project databases, systems, and procedures
Project Closing Process:
Key responsibilities include:
* Properly closing the project by archiving work in financial, document management, and resource management systems/tools
* Performing and communicating final project completion cost assessments
* Identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
* Bachelor's degree or Westinghouse-defined equivalency
* PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline
* Minimum 1 year of project controls experience or 1 year of experience in a technical role in the nuclear or construction industry
* PREFERRED: 3 years project controls experience in the position functional/technical area
* Strong skills in Communication, Planning and Organization, Teamwork, Time Management, and Driving for Results
* Familiarity with Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide)
