RINA is currently recruiting for a System Defence Engineering to join its office in ROME within the Space & Defence Division.
Mission
The system engineer consultant supports the client to develop tailor-made system solutions that meet specific requirements and provide added value through design, process optimization, and efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
1. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with the client development team to specify system requirements, including functional, non-functional, and interface requirements.
2. System Functionality Definition: Identify and describe the key functionalities of the system, considering requirements and final user needs.
3. System Specification Development: Organize and structure the System Specification clearly and coherently.
4. Review and Approval: Conduct periodic reviews of the System Specification with key client stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of requirements and obtain formal approval.
5. Change Management: Manage changes in system requirements during the development process, ensuring they are evaluated, documented, and implemented appropriately.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Engineering
General Qualifications
1. Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge in front-edge technologies and Space & Defence systems; experience in drafting system requirements for an air/naval defense system; experience in verifying system requirements for an air/naval defense system.
2. Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
3. Knowledge of Best Practices: Familiarity with best practices and methodologies in the field of systems engineering, including military (MIL-STD-498) and industry standards (IEC/EN/ISO).
4. Reporting: Ability to analyze and process data and represent them synthetically (reports, metrics, graphs).
5. Use of Engineering Tools: e.g. IBM DOORS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
