Manufacturing Engineer Job Function: Engineering Location: IT, Venice, Ceggia Manufacturing Engineer Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for technical development and continuous improvement of production systems and processes, including workflow sequences, tools, specifications, design, and implementation. The production engineer focuses on product industrialization to enhance efficiency and productivity. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., MS Office). Project management skills. Problem-solving abilities. Teamwork skills. Good knowledge of English. Preferred Requirements: 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment. Practical experience in improving low to medium volume assembly processes and implementing quality enhancements. Proficiency in CAD and 3D tools. Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma problem-solving techniques. Experience in automation design and assembly lines. Previous experience integrating ERP/MES systems in small to medium-sized organizations. Responsibilities: Eliminate waste from the value chain to improve safety, quality, delivery times, and costs. Ensure that DFM concepts are integrated into custom-engineered product designs. Design and implement error-proofing tools and equipment to reduce waste in the production process and enhance safety. Provide support for tool repairs and collaborate with suppliers to address quality and manufacturability issues related to parts, equipment, and fixtures. Develop requirements for incoming and in-process material storage, inventory management, and handling. Prepare technical specifications for assembly lines and testing equipment. Create visual and written documentation for new processes and technologies, evaluating process capacity and reorganization. Develop and test effective automated and manual systems. Train personnel on new and existing processes. Supporting Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation and Integration: Suggest enhancements to systems and processes using new technologies or materials.
