The Bellevue in Cogne, Valle d'Aosta, overlooking the Prati di Sant'Orso, right in front of the Gran Paradiso and the National Park of the same name, is not a simple hotel, but a great House that embraces history, culture and nature of the Alps. The Jeantet-Roullet family has been running it since 1925, carrying on the culture of hospitality, involving more than 90 employees. The House offers 39 unique rooms, each furnished with furniture and antiques from the family collection, a regenerative spa of 1,200 metres and four restaurants: Le Petit Bellevue, the Bar à Fromage restaurant de montagne and the Brasserie du Bon Bec. The award-winning wine cellar, the cheese cellar, the circular vegetable garden and the bakery complete the House, part of the Relais & Châteaux Association.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Pastry Chef, the resource deals with:
1. Basic preparations, leavened products, bread and desserts (desserts, sorbets and parfaits) and serving dishes.
2. Reads and interprets the recipes and technical documentation, chooses the raw and auxiliary materials respecting the quality standards and foreseeing the necessary quantity.
3. Takes care of the warehouse and cold rooms (deadlines, temperature, cleaning).
4. Sets up and keeps the workplace clean.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Diploma / qualification / specialization courses.
2. Experience in the role of at least one year gained in restaurants, hotels, laboratories and/or Relais & Châteaux.
3. Italian Fluent.
4. Knowledge of cooking and food preservation techniques.
5. Technical knowledge on leavened products and basic pastry.
6. Knowledge of different types of sweets, chocolate, spices and various processing techniques.
7. Passion, organizational and time management skills complete the profile.
The resource will be placed within the family-run Relais & Châteaux residence which offers welcome and hospitality to its staff, guaranteeing a serene work environment where each collaborator is recognized for their commitment to the hotel's success.
Contract Details:
1. Fixed-term contract (availability from the 16th of April until 13th of October 2025).
2. CCNL Tourism. The classification and remuneration will be commensurate with the profile and experience.
3. Full-time availability.
4. Room and board.
