JOB PURPOSE:
This is a high-profile role, working on the dessert, complete dessert and scooping segments in the Ice Cream category in Italy, leading marketing strategies across channel IH, OOH and Retail, including well-known brands like Carte d'or and Grom. The category is very dynamic, with intense competition across channels and customers and needs to be managed with deep and strategic business understanding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Brand & Market Dynamics
* Understand market dynamics across areas/channels/customers, planning and activating brand and product initiatives according to those dynamics.
* Use systems such as ACNielsen and Tracker to analyze the current business, assess brand performance, and set action plans to grow the business and win in the market.
* Manage Brands 6Ps, driving specific actions when required, collaborating with the wider category team & creative agencies.
* Understand the brand business targets, make and deploy plans to achieve the set brand KPIs in line with consumer understanding, market dynamics and resources.
Innovation & Project Development
* Be responsible for the launch, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the innovation mix and the core.
* Lead cross-functional teams including Finance, Consumer & Market Insight, R&D, Supply Chain to ensure successful project development and implementation in the local market.
* Be the local point of contact for the Headquarter in order to deploy successfully innovation roadmap and integrated comms plan.
Brand Communication Plans
* Work with Above and Below the Line agencies to deliver exciting plans in the market.
* Be a champion in social first approach to Comms.
* Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring maximum return on investment and cost efficiency.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing and project management in the FMCG sector at managerial level.
* A real Team Leader, able to coordinate both internal and external functional teams.
* International and curious mindset, able to interact daily with the European and Global headquarter.
* Passion for consumer understanding and brand management with experience in leading innovation projects.
* Good analytical skills and the ability to dive into business and brand performance, leading discussions on issues and opportunities in the marketplace.
* Strong Bias for Action focused on driving the right decisions that can grow the business.
