Job Summary: We seek a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimation Engineer to join our Solar EPC team. You will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, preparing commercial proposals, and supporting the bidding process for photovoltaic (PV) power plant projects. Your insights will directly impact our project#39;s profitability and competitiveness in the market. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for solar EPC projects, including engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, and commissioning. Analyze project technical specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities (BOQ) to identify cost drivers. Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to gather up-to-date material and labor cost information. Develop pricing strategies and support tender/bid submissions. Maintain and update internal cost databases and estimation tools. Participate in bid clarifications and negotiations with clients and suppliers. Provide value engineering and cost optimization proposals. Conduct risk assessment and financial sensitivity analysis of key cost elements. Prepare cost reports, breakdowns, and documentation to support management decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. 2+ years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the renewable energy or EPC industry. Knowledge of solar PV system components, construction practices, and pricing trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or internal tools). Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of international bidding processes is a plus.
