We are currently seeking a Product Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!
This role involves analyzing product costs, identifying and coordinating cost reduction projects, and collaborating with various departments to ensure cost control and improvement. The person will also support the preparation of reports for management, track global cost trends, and work with international teams to manage product costs effectively.
What kind of work will you be doing?
1. Periodically perform deep analysis of costed BOM (Bill Of Material) for products in development and for top-selling products with SKU tracker, to ensure control of frozen and current costs vs targets, to spot significant variations and to identify areas of improvement.
2. Identify areas of product cost improvement, in collaboration with other functions such as R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Offering, Finance, and initiate cost reduction projects (VAVE).
3. Coordinate the involved functions to ensure each VAVE project will meet the targeted scope and timings and to timely identify eventual risks.
4. Check monthly the impact of the active VAVE projects on products margin and the status vs target.
5. Calculate landed product cost in the various selling regions, also based on the components/subassemblies supply-chain strategies.
6. Support the preparation of reports and slides for periodic meetings with top management and for NPDI Gates review.
7. Periodically check the global trends of the costs of freight, tariffs and raw material.
8. Collaborate with product cost analysts/engineers from other Regions, to ensure correct tracking and management of product costs and of VAVE activities, and/or from other Product Lines, to identify areas of improvement for processes related to product cost.
What will make you successful?
1. Fast learning and excellent planning and communication skills are required.
2. Fluent English (both verbal and written).
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint especially.
4. Bachelor of engineering; electrical/electronic is preferred.
5. Basic knowledge of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is preferred.
6. 1-2 years of experience in product cost analysis and/or in the UPS field is preferred.
