The Laimburg Research Centre is the leading research institute for agriculture and food quality in South Tyrol (Italy). We operate mainly in applied research with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of South Tyrolean agriculture and of ensuring the quality of agricultural products. For the research project MOC “MultiOmics Centre for Nutrition and Health” (funded by ERDF/FESR/EFRE 2021-2027, project no. EFRE 1068, CUP H58H24000510009), the working group “Functional Genomics” of the Laimburg Research Centre is looking for a: Scientific Collaborator (f/m/d) As a Scientific Collaborator, your task will be to bridge multiple aspects of our multiomics projects. This includes different aspects of the technical realization, establishment and implementation of the project. You will help developing workflows and SOPs related to different omic areas and thanks to your scientific expertise and your knowledge in molecular biology, protein chemistry and different omic-techniques combined with your extraordinary communication skills you will establish effective collaborations at all levels between scientists and stakeholders. Your key responsibilities Involvement in the acquisition and implementation of the necessary technical infrastructure to perform multi-omics research Create analysis and integration pipelines for multi-omics data, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other ‘omic’-disciplines Create reproducible workflows for the analysis and interpretation of data from different omics fields Participate in transdisciplinary project planning and realization with bioinformaticians, life scientists, and data scientists working on complex research projects Build and sustain collaborations with other research centers and companies to facilitate rapid development of cross-disciplinary science Your profile Completed university studies of at least four years, attested by a diploma in biology, biotechnology, biological sciences, natural sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, or similar Excellent knowledge of Italian or German Excellent knowledge of English language Knowledge and practical experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry, and various omics techniques are highly desirable PhD in a scientific field is an advantage Strong organizational and communication skills Highly motivated, independent, and strong teamwork skills What we offer An exciting and diverse role in a dynamic scientific environment An innovative work environment Flexible working hours and the possibility of smart working ..and much more!
