Introduction to the role
The Head of Marketing & Innovation, as a member of the Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Managing Director, plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth of EDITA business and strongly contributes to the building of our new Desserts Division.
The Head of Marketing & Innovation will lead and inspire a dynamic team, including Category Management, Brand Management, and Private Label Management, to strengthen our presence in international markets, grow our branded portfolio, and enhance our private label partnerships. This role will balance strategic vision with hands-on execution to ensure excellent portfolio management, deliver innovation, market leadership, and brand development.
Key responsibilities
* Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with EDITA’s vision, focusing on both branded and private label growth in the dessert sector; identify market opportunities and drive business objectives; oversee the management of marketing budgets, ensuring maximum ROI and efficient allocation of resources.
* Innovation and Product Development: Lead the innovation pipeline, creating and launching new products to expand the dessert portfolio. Work closely with R&D and Operations teams to align product development with market trends and customer demands. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify unmet needs and emerging trends in the dessert category.
* Brand Development: Strengthen and expand EDITA’s branded offerings to enhance visibility, differentiation, and consumer loyalty in the B2B international markets. Develop compelling brand stories, positioning strategies, and promotional campaigns that resonate with target audiences. Build partnerships with external agencies, media, and other stakeholders to enhance brand impact.
* Private Label Excellence: Drive the growth of private label partnerships by aligning customer needs with innovative, high-quality product solutions. Foster strong relationships with key retailers, ensuring alignment on category strategies and product offerings.
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the Marketing & Innovation team, fostering collaboration and high performance. Build a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability within the team.
* Performance Tracking and Analysis: Set and monitor KPIs for the Marketing & Innovation team to track the success of strategies and campaigns. Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing and innovation approaches. Report regularly to the Managing Director on performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field (MBA preferred).
* Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing and product innovation in the food sector. Proven track record of driving growth in both branded and private label business.
