Job Description:
AVL Italia is seeking a candidate for a job in Italy (IT) as an Application Engineer.
Main Duties, Operational Tasks, Responsibilities :
* Collaborate with customers and partners to design, configure, and deploy EMS solutions using the Atene platform.
* Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to commissioning and post-deployment support.
* Work closely with Product Management and Development teams to address issues, provide feedback, and improve system functionality.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation such as configuration guides, best practices, and training materials for AVL Atene EMS.
* Conduct training sessions for customers and partners to ensure effective use of the platform.
* Develop product/application specifications to assist AVL customers in the following tasks: Monitor and analyze energy consumption to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements; Develop and implement energy management strategies, including consumption reduction plans and efficiency projects; Conduct regular energy audits to assess performance and identify areas for improvement; Prepare detailed reports on energy consumption, costs, and savings, presenting results to management; Ensure compliance with local and international energy regulations; Plan and manage energy efficiency projects, such as LED lighting installations, HVAC optimization, and renewable technology implementations.
Qualification Requirements :
* Degree in Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of experience in energy management systems, HVAC, building automation, or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols used in EMS and BMS.
* Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and commissioning energy management software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of energy regulations and sustainability practices.
* Proficiency in data analysis and energy management software.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (up to 40%).
