€70,000 + Company Car (made up of bonus, housing allowance) plus travel allowance
Shirley Parsons is delighted to be working with a luxury Bathroom and Kitchen client who are looking to appoint a Quality Manager based in Novara ideally but open to candidates within 1.5 hours who is open to travel. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality of all products manufactured in Italian factories. This role involves managing new product development from a quality perspective, ensuring supplier selection aligns with company standards, identifying and resolving major quality issues, and following up on outstanding quality cases.
Quality Manager Responsibilities
Supplier & Factory Quality Management:
* Oversee quality control processes across all Italian manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
* Assess and select suppliers based on their quality performance, production capabilities, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of factories to ensure consistent quality standards.
* Manage Third Party Inspectors, Laboratories for testing and Inspection agencies to ensure compliance to company and international quality standards
New Product Development:
* Work closely with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to establish quality requirements for new products.
* Develop and implement quality control plans for new product launches.
* Identify potential quality risks early in the development process and implement preventive measures.
Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement:
* Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for major quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Monitor and follow up on outstanding quality cases to ensure timely resolution.
* Develop strategies to reduce defect rates and improve product reliability.
* Writing Procedures to address quality escapes and tighten compliance.
Reporting & Compliance:
* Maintain detailed records of quality issues, audit results, and supplier performance.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
* Provide regular reports to senior management on supplier performance, major quality concerns, and improvement initiatives.
* Cost control and adhering to defined budgets.
* KPIs will be set for monitoring performance against a set of targets.
Quality Manager Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (desirable)
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably within a manufacturing or supplier management environment.
* Strong knowledge of quality control processes, root cause analysis methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
* Leadership and teamwork.
* Experience with supplier audits, factory inspections, and product testing.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication skills in English and Italian.
* Willingness to travel frequently to various factory locations in Italy.
