About the role
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our local People Team, based in Milan.
You will report directly to the local HR Business Partner where you’ll have a specific focus on People Administration and Operations and you’ll partner with our central CoEs.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Taking full ownership for the administration for the entire employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding, performance management, development and coaching through to promotions and exits - this is an administrative role with high impact
2. Preparing employment offer letters, contracts, letters of promotion and compensation changes in line with the National Labor Contract applied
3. Overseeing the correct flux of information within Workday (our HR system) related to the employees (hirings & leavings, contract, role and compensation changes, etc)
4. Monitoring the correct management of the overtimes and absences accordingly to the National Labor Contract and supporting the employees in the management of their monthly timesheet, and collecting the monthly variations to insert in the payslips and check that all of them are adequately reflected in the payslip drafts
5. Monitoring the monthly deadlines related to employees administration
6. Constantly collaborate with our CoEs based in our UK Headquarters such as the payroll team, central people operations team, comp&ben team
7. Supporting employees when they raise questions or needs in the admin and payroll areas through ServiceNow
8. Provides support for all transactions related to special payments and salary changes
9. Process reports with regards to employees’ headcount and administration
10. Supporting with the development of the operating model for Hop People Operations in Italy
11. Providing day-to-day support and direction on all People topics to the local Teams
12. Partnering with site management to proactively identify capability gaps and implement / deliver solutions
13. Partnering with site management to proactively identify engagement gaps and implement solutions to address (taking data from Engagement survey tool and general employee listening)
14. Proactively partnering with site management on workforce planning, ensuring our recruitment team are aware of demand and all sites are staffed appropriately
15. Partnering with external providers of HR services - when needed (external agencies and providers)
16. Proactively partnering with site management to identify talent and development opportunities across HOP site based teams
17. Overseeing HOP’s performance review, promotion and compensation review processes, ensuring consistency across site based teams
18. Ensure compliance to all relevant labour laws
19. Partner with HQ People team to ensure site employees views are represented and central Deliveroo wide processes being developed are fit for purpose for site based team
20. Operational support on L&D, recruitment, procurement (for HR related matters) and local people initiatives
Requirements:
1. You have gained a minimum 2 years’ previous experience in the People administration and Operations areas
2. Knowledge of the Italian Labour law and of the CCNL Commercio
3. Knowledge of Workday HRIS and ServiceNow is a significant plus
4. You’re a precise professional, punctual in carrying out the activities, flexible and with a spirit of adaptation in a dynamic reality
5. You have an ability to work in a team and to relate to any level of the company
6. Fluent in English is required as you’ll also deal with the central People team based in London
7. Significant experience in start-ups, retail/distribution or manufacturing environment
8. Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under their own direction; is able to manage energy effectively and consistently deliver under predictable and high-pressure situations alike
9. Friendly and approachable communication style
10. Confident to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and handle multiple priorities
