About the role: This role will not be onboarded until June 30th, 2025. The Assistant Director of Rooms oversees the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Guest Services teams, driving exceptional guest experiences and ensuring smooth operations across these key departments. What you will do: Be a part of the pre-opening team. Act as the senior manager in the above areas when the Department Head is not available and assume responsibility as Director of Rooms in their absence. Ensure that standards are met, guests and employees are satisfied, and problems are promptly resolved. Work closely with Sales and Reservations to enhance the Resort occupancy levels and rates. Ensure clear communication and follow-up on guest and employee requests, special needs, and hotel initiatives. Interview, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed. Monitor staff schedules and activities across the Rooms Division, ensuring standards are met and guest needs are fulfilled. Conduct regular inspections. Resolve guest complaints with professionalism, handling issues in person, by phone, or in writing, and accommodating special requests when possible. Assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, events, directions, and more, ensuring timely and accurate responses in person and by phone. Manage financial performance, controlling labor and supply costs. Support the Director of Rooms in the Annual Budget process. Ensure the safety, security, and satisfaction of guests and employees when senior managers are unavailable. What you bring: Pre-opening experience, project, and stakeholder management. 3-5 years’ experience in a luxury environment, with a diversity of Operational Rooms Division management positions. College degree preferably in hotel/restaurant management, or equivalent experience. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Ability to read, write, and speak English. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
