Pay Information: Range 4 ($9,456.53 – $15,403.70) per month based on the current Management salary schedule. Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. Major Responsibilities
The Associate Dean of Career Education will supervise all operational functions of the Strong Workforce Program (SWP), Perkins, and other career education grants and projects. Responsibilities include:
1. Supervise operational functions including development and management of annual work-plans, budgets, and reports.
2. Evaluate SWP program performance in areas of enrollment, completion, transfer, and employment outcomes.
3. Oversee the development of web-based systems to track SWP metrics.
4. Work with CE faculty to develop new curriculum and programs.
5. Assist in marketing and outreach.
6. Coordinate industry advisory activities.
7. Participate in workforce development activities.
8. Align the Strong Workforce Plan with the College’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possession of a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of relevant experience; OR,
2. Possession of a lifetime California Community College Supervisor Credential.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience coordinating Career Education programs.
2. Experience managing grant-funded programs.
3. Experience in hiring and supervising faculty and staff.
4. Ability to collaborate on workforce development initiatives.
5. Ability to collect and interpret data for CE programs.
6. Experience supporting faculty in program development.
7. Experience in career services implementation.
8. Knowledge of database development.
9. Experience with participatory governance.
10. Experience maintaining professional partnerships.
11. Strong communication skills.
