Institute for Biomedicine
The Institute for Biomedicine, located at Bolzano's science and technology park NOI Techpark, is dedicated to improving health through precision prevention research. This interdisciplinary effort seeks to predict, slow or preempt illness progression by understanding genetic, biological, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Utilizing a decade-long population study in collaboration with the South Tyrolean Healthcare Service, the institute offers access to extensive data and biological materials suitable for such research. With a focus on neurological, cardiovascular, and metabolic health, the team employs state-of-the-art labs and innovative management to span the full translational research cycle, from data generation to potential clinical application.
For our operational team we are seeking a highly motivated collaborator who will support the management during an exciting phase of transformation and growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the vice head and the head of the institute and assist in executing change processes, performance measurement and improvement in research and generally in pursuing the mission and strategy of the institute.
Tasks:
* Manage the internal controlling and monitoring system.
* Development, management and documentation of reports and dashboards to monitor, control and evaluate the results with Power BI.
* Analysis and interpretation of (financial) performance indicators to detect trends/patterns and to develop measurements for improvement.
* Optimization and taking care of data collection and database applications.
* Contributing to the preparation of the Institute’s yearly plan and the related documentation.
Requirements:
* Degree (Master or equivalent) in science management, economics or administrative science.
* A minimum of 2 years work experience in administration, controlling, management and/or business development, preferably in a scientific institution.
* Experience in analysis and modelling of complex datasets.
* Very good knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Power BI.
* Very good knowledge of database management and online reporting tools.
* High ability to work in teams, flexibility in thinking and action.
* Very good communication and organization skills.
* Capability to work in a structured, motivated and autonomous way.
* Experiences in life science.
* Interest in biomedical research would be an advantage.
* Very good knowledge of German, Italian and English, both orally and written.
