HPC Technologist at the Hicrest Lab, University of Trento
The Hicrest Lab at the University of Trento is seeking a highly motivated a Technologist to support advanced research and development in cutting-edge AI and high-performance computing projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to oversee project execution, manage technical tasks, and contribute to innovative solutions in HPC, Machine Learning and hardware-software co-design and reliability.
The selected candidate will contribute to designing, developing, and integrating advanced AI algorithms and hardware solutions.
* Support the testing and validation of new AI accelerators and high-performance computing systems.
* Collaborate with researchers on investigating novel computing paradigms and technologies, including photonics, neuromorphic devices, and processing-in-memory architectures.
* Assist in developing and implementing custom software solutions for use in autonomous systems
General Qualifications
* A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).3+ years of experience in project management, particularly in R&D or technical environments.
* Proven experience with managing large-scale, multi-partner projects in an academic or industrial setting.
* Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing is highly desirable.
* Experience with chip technologies, embedded systems, or autonomous systems is a plus.
* Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills - Technologist
* Understanding of software-hardware co-design
* Experience with AI algorithms or system-level design or HPC-related topics.
Salary and Starting Date
* Salary Range: 40000 - 52000 Euro per year (gross)
* Duration: 3 years.
* Starting date: 1.11.2024 (ideally)
