**R& D Dental 3D Printing Specialist Role Summary**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled R& D Specialist to join our client, a successful Italian company in professional 3D printing.
The role involves developing new materials and technologies using SLA 3D printing, ensuring compliance with international standards for biocompatible dental products, and collaborating with the Quality, Materials, and Strategy teams.
We are seeking a candidate with a degree in physics or materials science, who possesses a practical mindset, attention to detail, and familiarity with electromechanical devices.
Responsibilities:
* Operating 3D printers and scanners, analyzing results, and proactively suggesting test methods and process improvements.
* Supporting other materials research team members during projects.
* Writing work instructions and test protocols for quality control purposes.
* Contributing to the development of quality test methods for production.
* Hands-on surface testing using different methods (SEM/EDX/WLI/contact angle).
* Writing test protocols for external test laboratories.
* Writing test reports based on surface testing and results analysis.
* Assisting team members with handling different material research-related tasks/projects.
* Supporting compliance activities related to Materials Research.
* Analyzing surface measurement results, including statistical analysis.
Essential Experience:
* Experience with SLA 3D printing (not mandatory but a plus).
* Knowledge of photopolymer materials, particularly for biocompatible applications.
* Data analysis and reporting skills to interpret test results and produce technical documentation.
* Familiarity with modeling and simulation software (e.g., CAD, FEM analysis software).
* Experience with measurement and quality control tools, such as 3D scanners and inspection software (e.g., 3Shape).
* Experience with hands-on testing of material surface is an advantage.
Qualifications:
* A degree in Physics or Materials Science is required.
* Previous experience in research laboratories or industrial R& D.
* Experience in biomedical or dental companies.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is an asset.
