Role
Responsible for legal affairs pertaining to the overall institutional and business activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Legal Affairs.
* Definition and drafting of contracts, agreements, conventions, particularly in the context of commercial activities carried out by AI4I.
* Study of matters concerning commercial law, labor law, intellectual property law and administrative law.
* Applied study, case law research and in-depth study of regulations of interest to AI4I.
* Preparation and filing of legal files.
Main stakeholders
* The function report to the Head of administration and will interact with the main administrative and business functions supporting them in their activities from the standpoint of correctness and legal conformity of acts, documents and procedures.
* The function will also have, in addition, a constant liaison with the Regulatory and Corporate affairs function, in particular with reference to the correct execution of the Board resolutions.
Ideal Profile
* The ideal candidate is a bright legal professional, who has been licensed to practice for no less than 3 years, with an appreciable and effective professional experience of at least 5 years gained in law firms/companies of significant size.
* Having the above experience in favor of research entities falling within the scope of the P.A. and effective knowledge of the functioning of the main operational processes characterizing the legal/corporate area of a research entity will be an asset, as well as experience gained in professional contexts of international relevance.
* The skills acquired must enable the resource to be able to manage, with the autonomy that the role and the proposed level presuppose, all issues pertaining to the management of:
(i) legal affairs;
(ii) wide-rangingcontractual matters, with particular focus on the agreements that characterize the operation of a research institution, (iii);
the issuance of appropriate opinions and in-depth studies functional to the correct setting and execution of the institutional activities within the perimeter of an institution controlled and financed by the State but also active on the business side.
* Professional experience gained either in professional contexts, of national and international relevance, or in entities or companies – in this case preferably falling within the perimeter of the P.A., as controlled, supervised or financed by the State.
Key Competencies
* Knowledge of public finance mechanisms, public economic law, public contract law;
negotiation schemes forthe management and valorization of intellectual property and research activities as a function of technology transfer to the industrial fabric.
* Knowledge of the operating mechanisms of research institutions, preferably according to logics ascribable to the private sector and, in particular, of research foundations (as in the case of AI4I).
Personal characteristics
* Bright professional or corporate lawyer, highly motivated and interested in contributing, concretely, to the start-up of the entity and to the proper implementation of all the main operating processes characterizing the Legal Affairs area of the entity
* Proactive and results-oriented, able to establish positive relationships, of effective dialogue and collaboration, oriented to the identification of solutions
* Real ability to be able to manage and implement with effective autonomy processes and activities related to the above areas of expertise

* Aptitude for working in multicultural and challenging environments
* Good knowledge of English
