Job Summary
The Event Coordinator supports the Event Manager and wider Events team in ensuring the smooth execution of conferences, banquets and group events. This role involves assisting in the preparation of event documentation (e.g. BEOs), coordinating logistical needs with operational departments, and ensuring excellent communication between the client and hotel departments.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about hospitality and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist in compiling Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all departments are properly informed.
* Coordinate internal communication with F&B, kitchen, housekeeping and the other departments for event preparation.
* Support site inspections and pre-event client walkthroughs.
* Ensure set-ups meet client expectations and Marriott brand standards.
* Provide on-site support during events as needed.
* Liaise with the Sales Team to ensure smooth handover post-contract.
* Support the Event Manager in tracking guest feedback and continuous improvement.
* Maintain updated records in Opera and other systems.
* Support with administrative tasks related to the Events department.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Event Management, or related fields (preferred).
* Previous experience in events, F&B, or hospitality roles (internships included).
* Good organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera and Micros is a plus.
* Fluent in English and Italian.
