As Disposable Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will coordinates the day-to-day activities of a team of around 100 production workers including shift leaders, process engineering & maintenance teams, team leaders and operators to ensure that the breathing systems manufacturing operations run according to the established production quality specifications and schedules.
A Day in the Life
• Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; managing personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control plans; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Delivers on safety, quality, cost, delivery - Monitors Production KPIs to deliver optimal results
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Consistently keeps a focus on patients and customers for the site and ensures this drives innovation and decision making
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, creates a diverse and inclusive high performing team
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; Conduct performance reviews and staff 1:1s to guide performance management
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Biomedical Engineering preferred
• at least 5 years of experience as a Supervisor
• Previous experience in a medical device industry a plus
• Computer Skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Very good level of English language knowledge
• Uses Lean/Six Sigma principles to improve workflow maturity inside the production area
• Fundamentally understands quality, service, cost & safety principles related to manufacturing activities skill: Leverages critical thinking & data and analytics to make decisions
• Knows which financial KPIs need to be evaluated in order to analyze opportunities and risks of a production process
• Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
• Quality/Regulatory: Understands main principles of a Quality System
Nice to Haves
• Demonstrates good technical knowledge of medical device and/or high-tech industry. Experience in Capital intensive manufacturing environments with high automation would be preferable.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrates understanding of Integrated Supply Chain processes.
• Relationship Management: tactical and / or technical leadership
• Builds collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and works to achieve goals
• Shares and exchanges relevant information to reach solutions and gaining cooperation of other parties
• Seeks diverse perspectives through credible and authentic relationships with leaders and colleagues
• Drives execution of the Team to ensure desired plans and results
• Provide leadership to staff ensuring the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives to include defining performance goals
