Job Description
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Head of Sales and M&A will be responsible for the following activities:
* Analyze and evaluate the dossiers in the pipeline, with particular attention to emerging technologies and market trends.
* Conduct and supervise financial, legal, and technical due diligence activities, with a particular emphasis on aspects related to the environmental, regulatory, and financial impact of transactions.
* Manage negotiations with strategic partners, legal and financial advisors, ensuring that all transaction conditions are favorable and aligned with corporate objectives.
* Work closely with the finance, legal, business development, and operations teams to integrate acquisitions or mergers and ensure that strategic objectives are met.
* Monitor and analyze the dynamics of the global renewable energy market, including regulatory changes, technological trends, and economic developments.
* Collaborate with senior management in defining and implementing the company's growth strategy in the renewable energy sector, identifying opportunities for both organic and inorganic expansion.
The Successful Applicant
Solid experience in M&A roles with a focus on the energy sector, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, etc.), with a good understanding of technologies, market dynamics, and sector-specific regulations.
Ability to analyze company financial statements, financial projections, capital structures, and environmental impacts. In-depth knowledge of energy project valuation models and financing structures, including renewable energy.
Degree in Economics, Energy Engineering, Management, or related fields. An MBA or other postgraduate qualifications is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken English skills (the working language will primarily be English).
