About us Founded in 1914, Danieli is a world leader in the construction of plants and machines for the steel industry. The company has over twenty-five divisions and is renowned for innovation, team spirit, excellence and reliability. We are currently reinforcing our Danieli Centro Met Team Location: Buttrio (Ud) Responsibilities The purpose of the Piping Design Engineer is the study of piping plant engineering in industrial plants (for example: steel mills, rolling mills …). The Piping design activity, both basic and detailed, takes place within a work group, is coordinated by the Team Leader, and in collaboration with both other work groups (lay-out / civil, electrical / instrumentalists) within its own product line, and in other company areas (fire and HVAC specialists, process office, mechanical office, purchasing office). Engineering development in 2D and 3D, using company software (AVEVA E3D); Coordination with the reference project engineers (for their own project) of the other interface plant disciplines such as mechanics, fluidics, electrical, tools, HVAC and FF; Propose solutions, improvements and optimizations in order to improve the quality of the engineering in compliance with the deadlines defined by the contract and the data exchange dates agreed during the opening phase of the order between the various disciplines / Product Lines; Develop the plant Linelist for which it defines design pressures, test pressures, design temperatures Select and define both the thicknesses and materials of the pipes (pipe classes) according to the conditions of the fluids; Develop piping route studies to support the development of the plant layout and the basic civil project; Define the pipe support systems according to the loads, the types of fluids, the pipe materials, the conditions of the fluids; Develop data sheets for the purchase of bulk piping material (pipes, fittings, accessory valves); Reading and evaluation of technical specifications and equipment data sheets (pumps, exchangers, etc.); Drafting of specifications for detailed piping engineering development requests to subsidiaries or external firms. Technical Requirements Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Expert / Surveyor; Knowledge and use of 2D (Autodesk AutoCAD) and 3D (Aveva E3D, Naviswork…) CAD design programs; Knowledge and use of Puma software (definition of piping classes, material take off, distinct emissions grouped by purchasing piping materials); Knowledge and use of spreadsheets / software for the calculation of pressure drops in pipes; Good knowledge of concepts relating to the design of thermotechnical systems, fluid machines, constructions; Knowledge of English (minimum level B2). Soft Skills Availability for short trips on the national and international territory. Problem solving; Team working; Precision and attention to detail; Good organizational skills. J-18808-Ljbffr
