We are looking for Junior Innovation Specialist to join our Business Unit group (Paper, Strategic Adjacencies and Customisation) in structuring medium to long-term roadmaps for key projects. The primary role of the position is dedicated in bringing Moleskine Customisation BU ecosystem to the next level; and, secondarily, to support the Upstream Innovation team and its two macro areas: Consumer, and Research. Through a user-centric approach, the role is focused on 1. helping structure the Customisation services, providing a clear roadmap for the BU for the future, by connecting the different necessary stakeholders to turn the roadmap into reality; and 2. as part of the Upstream Innovation, the role will help build the strategy and construction of a medium to long-term vision behind projects with a broader scope, that can be cross-categories, and that are made tangible through various touchpoints, including: service, product, packaging, and experience. The role also relies in working with cross-functional teams to identify gaps and opportunities and put in place developmental and structural plans that will contribute to the resonance, relevance, growth, and profitability of the brand. Tasks and Responsibilities, grouped into three abovementioned areas: Customisation Help strategize, structure and manage the entire customisation ecosystem (back-end to front-end) of all the Moleskine portfolio (paper, bags, writing instruments, …). Help define the unit’s roadmap, from concept to network, engaging with dedicated suppliers, so that the infrastructure foreseen is compatible with Moleskine’s business. Leverage on the company’s network (internal and external stakeholders) so to move the structured roadmap forward, aligned with the business goals (technical feasibility and model viability). Define the necessary structure to develop and deploy longer-term concepts of the various touchpoint areas of the brand: physical, digital, phygital, service, events, … Upstream innovation (Consumer and Research) Use user-centric design thinking approach to align products and services with business goals: from problem-setting to problem-solving, safeguarding the user in the process. Design and execute qualitative/quantitative research, that enables the identification of pain points and opportunities for future business. The toolbox to be used to do so includes personas/archetypes, ideation workshops, focus groups, interviews, observations, user testing, prototyping, among others. The outcome should include insights, roadmaps, and indicated actions, for approval of the management. Map specific Customer Journeys so to identify pain points in the customer experience with the various touchpoints of the brand: physical, digital, service, events, … Help and empower the other teams in guiding the product strategy and roadmap, bringing valuable insights to the desired customer experience to be emphasised. Be an active trend hunter for new behaviours, materials, techniques, and technologies applicable to Moleskine’s current portfolio and its future expansion. Be an active participant in the experience lifecycle: create the analysis, planning, creation, development, and deployment of touchpoint innovations, aligned, and approved by the management. Management of relationships with creative agencies and stakeholders. Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure best in class coordination of the Business Unit’s activities. Flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude mindset. Experience with service blueprints, and knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial design/design engineering is a plus.
