What are we looking for?
We are looking for an EHS Manager who will support the General Manager in protecting the environment and the health and safety of workers by identifying all necessary interventions for the prevention/protection against injuries/incidents and monitoring their application.
Essential ResponsibilitiesMain Activities:
* Support the General Management in defining internal management and operational practices and promote their implementation through the company management system.
* Assist the General Management in identifying applicable legislative prescriptions and general regulatory requirements and promote their adoption through the adjustment of the Management System.
* Support the General Management in analyzing the context and expectations of stakeholders and ensure formalization and updating.
* Draft and update the assessment of the significance of environmental aspects and impacts and inform Management of the results.
* Assist Management in defining objectives and targets for performance improvement.
* Collaborate with various company functions to define operational standards and in drafting procedures and reference instructions.
* Manage the management system documentation ensuring continuous updating and correct application.
* Support various operational control activities by collaborating in defining control and recording methodologies.
* Verify the correct application of the management system through internal audits.
* Assist other company functions in preventing and correcting non-compliance situations that arise.
* Support Management in reviewing the management system and ensure its documentation.
* Identify and assess injury risks: analyze production systems in use (machinery, toxic substances, equipment, etc.) and the structural conditions of the work environment (layout and placement of plants and work positions, exposure to hazardous substances or preparations, noise, load handling, etc.).
* Through interviews with staff, heads of various company sectors, and the workers' safety representative, identify issues related to workplace safety.
* Collect necessary information, draft the risk assessment document, and prepare the most appropriate safety measures for the company's activities.
* Draft ESH operational procedures and instructions for company activities and processes.
* Identify training needs of personnel regarding health, safety, and environment and implement a training and information program for workers.
* Participate in meetings with workers' safety representatives, the competent doctor, and the employer. Organize intervention plans and corrective measures identified during meetings.
* In the event of accidents or near misses, analyze the causes that led to them. Promote the identification of corrective actions and verify their implementation.
* In line with company policies, coordinate continuous improvement of health, safety, and environment management systems.
* Coordinate activities related to health surveillance.
Position Requirements
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare risk assessments for health and safety in collaboration with MC and function heads, using qualified external consultants.
* Manage activities related to health and safety in the workplace.
* Coordinate activities to comply with ESH legal requirements and manage authorization practices and contacts with external entities.
* Coordinate and verify ESH programs.
* Verify and manage ESH documentation of contractors.
* Coordinate prevention and response to emergencies and incidents.
* Participate in ESH audits.
* Participate in the annual safety meeting.
* Prepare the periodic ESH report and inputs for the MANAGEMENT review.
* Coordinate and monitor programs to achieve objectives.
* Monitor ESH legislative compliance, updating the operational control plan.
Fundamental Requirements:
* Legislation regarding the environment and safety.
* Organization, operational and production processes, technologies.
* ESH management systems.
* ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
* Knowledge of the English language.
Training:
* Knowledge of environmental regulations (Legislative Decree 152/2006).
* Knowledge of safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/2008).
* Qualification as RSPP (MODULES A, B, and C).
* Courses on management systems UNI ISO 14001:2015 and UNI ISO 45001:2018.
* Internal auditor courses for safety and environment.
