Many of the valves are automated to customer specifications in our well-equipped workshop. Our products have a high-quality standard. Due to increasing activities and growth, we are looking for a Production Supervisor. This position requires a strong understanding of the entire cycle of new and repaired control and isolation valve orders and concluding with delivery and acceptance. The Production Supervisor ensures that dates are in control and determines if we need to outsource processes and/or work overtime to meet delivery dates. The Production Supervisor manages the availability of manufactured parts, purchased parts, and outside operations to align with Flowserve’s shop labour. This position reports to the QRC or Manufacturing Manager and has direct reports. Responsibilities: Manage a team of technicians in our workshop, ensuring they have the right knowledge, tools, and materials available. Plan and execute daily work in our workshop and warehouse for: Assembling new automated valves. Overhauling control valves, isolation valves, and actuators. Distributing stock. Direct, motivate, and lead employees in the workshop and warehouse. Handle correct and timely production orders in the workshop. Document and administrate maintenance, tests, and inspections. Perform the role of test coordinator, monitoring test procedures and methods. Ensure safety, health, and environment standards in the workshop and warehouse. Contribute to the growth of the service & repair department. Run the warehouse efficiently, ensuring smooth incoming and outgoing goods processes. Leadership: Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide continuous coaching. Create progression development plans for employees. Manage difficult conversations resulting in positive outcomes. Execute monthly facility meetings discussing QRC performance. Willing to work past regular hours to support second and weekend personnel. Safety and Quality: Manage Safety Committee meetings through the SHEA lead. Understand and improve safety maturity standing. Perform GEMBA walks to drive an improved safety culture. Resolve Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) issues to reduce scrap, rework, and warranties. Resolve warranty issues through QualityQuest. Improve efficiency through lean manufacturing and Kaizen projects. Ensure employees are trained appropriately through PeopleQuest. QRC Performance: Drive customer satisfaction by reducing past due backlog and increasing on-time performance. Drive increased sales with the engagement of the sales team, resulting in increased book-to-ship orders. Forecast monthly sales with minimal deviation from the first week's forecast by reviewing the entire backlog weekly. Maintain high accuracy in inventory counts by resolving fundamental issues in cycle counts. Drive accountability to team members through morning and afternoon meetings. Resolve direct labour and capacity issues. Coordinate field service tasks with the Field service team and extend assistance as required. Reduce and maintain low excess inventory. Perform QA/QC roles for incoming goods as well as finished products. And any other duties assigned. Requirements: 10 years of experience in manufacture and/or repair and assembly & testing of valves. Experience in a supervisory role in industrial operations. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications. Able to influence across an organization and build high-performing teams.
