HIV Medical Scientist – ViiV Healthcare

In alignment with Company’s values and Country strategy, the HIV Medical Scientist (HMS) is responsible for the medical activities’ implementation in the field area of competence, with ownership of local medical projects and cross-functional collaboration with field functions.
The HMS in alignment with the strategic priorities of ViiV Italy is responsible for:
* Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in properly managing HIV Disease and treatments
o Proactively for approved products and in-label data
o Reactively with regards to off-label data or not yet approved drugs
* Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in Scientific updates to prepare lectures/speeches for independent and VHL-sponsored programs
* Support Key External Experts and other HCPs in Clinical development activities; ISSs and RWE studies discussion and follow-up – connection with Medical Advisors
* Gather insights from the field and properly share with HMSs Manager, CMD and MST
* Support and facilitate the field implementation of medical activities.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Degree in Medicine/Pharmacy/Biology
* English: Advanced
* Working area: Campania, Calabria, Basilicata e Sicilia
* Residency: preferably Campania
* Residency and/or Post-doctoral training in a clinical practice/pharmaceutical industry setting
* Demonstrated understanding of the Italian healthcare environment
* Ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred; if you do not have them, please still apply:
* Experience in Infectious Diseases/HIV is a plus.
