Job Description As IT System Integration Expert within the Core IT Systems team, you will be responsible for leading technology evolution initiatives and overseeing all technical activities and topics within the unit. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, optimizing IT infrastructure, and ensuring the effective functioning of core IT systems critical to Investment Management operations. Key responsibilities of the role will include: Technical Leadership and Support: Provide expert guidance on technical IT topics, architectural decisions, and system optimizations. Additionally, offer technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex IT issues and system outages, ensuring minimal disruption to Investment Management operations. Integration Layer Management: Manage the integration layer of the core IT systems (data interfaces, middle wares, etc.), ensuring its seamless operational functioning and evolution according to IT Strategy and business objectives of GenAM. Release and Environment Management Oversight: Oversee Release and Environment Management activities for the SimCorp ecosystem, ensuring the adoption of best practices and standards. Provide guidance on implementing efficient release processes and environment management strategies to support system stability and reliability. System Architecture: Be a key contributor in the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance IT architectures for Core IT Systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards. Infrastructure Management Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance to Core IT Systems in the area of infrastructure management (including servers, network, storage, and cloud services) and oversee the management and optimization of the IT infrastructure delivered by the Generali Group captive provider of technology infrastructure services (GOSP). Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with other IT vendors and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions that meet the needs of Generali Asset Management S.p.A. Technology Evolution: Be the key contributor for the assessment and adoption of emerging technologies and industry best practices to foster continuous improvement and innovation within Core IT Systems. Software Development: Collaborate with software/configuration development teams of Core IT Systems (internal and external) to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable solutions for core IT Systems, leveraging best practices and modern development methodologies. Security and Compliance: Be the point of contact for the One Security Team of A&WM to ensure adoption of measures and compliance standards to protect IT systems and data assets from cybersecurity threats and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Requirements Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience of 3-5 years in a technical role within the IT industry, preferably in the financial services or asset management sector. Strong expertise in IT architecture, infrastructure management, and software development, with proficiency in a wide range of technologies and platforms. Proven track record of leading technology evolution initiatives, driving innovation, and optimizing IT systems and processes for enhanced performance and efficiency. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to complex technical challenges. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices is highly desirable. Certifications in relevant areas such as IT architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity are a plus.
